EPPING, NH- The best paying Tour-Type Modified Open in
New England is fast approaching. The June 16 Exeter
Decorating SBM 125 at the Star Speedway will bring a mix
of talent from across the Modified spectrum, covering
all four Modified tours plus the Star regulars.
A big part of this event is the bonus money, which will
total more than $10,000 in all, to be paid in full to
race teams on that Saturday night, in just four weeks
from Saturday. Headlining the list of supporters that
have pushed the total purse to more than $35,000 is
title sponsor Exeter Decorating.
Enter to win free SBM 125 tickets beginning this
Saturday at noon, and running over this four week time
period at the Exeter Decorating Showroom, located just
off Route 101, exit 9 on Route 27. The showroom hours
and location can be found at
www.exeterdecorating.com.
No purchase necessary.
The bonus payoff begins with the start of qualifying,
thanks to Tisdell Transmission of Londonderry, N.H. They
have been servicing transmissions since 1993, and
Tisdell now services all of your car care needs,
including state inspections. If you're having a problem
with your vehicle, call or stop in for a free diagnostic
check, and thank them for paying each heat race winner
in the SBM 125 and extra $50.
An
additional $100 will be paid to the heat race winner who
turns the fastest final lap of those three qualifying
events. Thanks to New England Tile Cleaners, the fastest
heat race winner will earn $150. New England Tile
Cleaners has been restoring and maintaining tile and
stone for more than 20 years. From commercial cleaning
to small bathrooms, look to
www.netilecleaners.com
for information on how to restore your tiled areas to a
"like new" condition.
Fast Track Concessions of Star and Thompson Speedway's
has drawn the most attention from the Star weekly
competitors, adding $500 to their payoff in the SBM 125.
Paid to the top three Star weekly drivers
($250-$150-$100) to cross the finish line, this award
has already increased the number of Star drivers entered
in this event from last year. Remember to support Fast
Track Concessions for the best race track food
available.
A driver never wants to win the "Tough Luck" award in a
race, but $200 from Messina's Flooring and Carpet of
Salem, N.H., will help ease the pain for one SBM 125
entrant. Messina's is a full service floor covering
business that services residential customers, new home
builders, commercial contractors, hospitals,
restaurants, car dealerships, commercial and apartment
property management companies and more.
Messina's is proud to have been chosen as a Dal-Tile
Statements Dealer, and an HGTV Home Dealer as well. They
also carry Hunter Douglas and Graber window treatments.
Find them at
www.messinasflooring.com,
or at 7 Industrial Way in Salem, N.H.
Danger Design's of Londonderry, N.H., will sponsor the
"Best Appearing Car" award for the SBM 125. The
recipient will get a $100 bonus, plus a plaque to
display. Danger Design's is the place for all of your
race car or sign painting needs.
Sunoco Race Fuels will supply the driver who gains the
most positions during the SBM 125, with $200 worth of
Sunoco Racing Fuel to help power them into the summer
months. Sunoco has been a longtime supporter of the
"Sunoco Hard Charger" award at many venues throughout
the northeast.
The team that makes the "Longest Tow" to Star Speedway
on June 16 will earn a $200 bonus to help defray costs.
This special award has been paid for by race fan Bruce
Batcha, who is also part of the Max Zachem Modified race
team that will be competing in this event.
These seven special awards help make the Exeter
Decorating SBM 125 what it is. Two more sponsorship
opportunities remain. There will be a $200 award for the
highest finishing driver competing at Star for the very
first time.
More than four drivers in the field will be eligible for
this award, including Todd Szegedy, Justin Bonsignore
and Richie Pallai from the Whelen Modified Tour. The
first car finishing one lap down will also earn some
extra cash, giving drivers a reason to keep racing if
they get passed by the race leader during the 125 green
flag laps run.
Also available for sponsorship are the remaining
unsponsored laps. The 2011 SBM 125 oversold laps, and
this year should be no different. To put your name on a
lap for $50 or more, check out the official lap board at
the track, or online at
www.star-speedway.com.
The popular formula of paying some to the leader and
some to another top ten car by draw earned rave reviews
from competing race teams in the inaugural event, and
this year should be no different. |
